Animal industry and schistosomiasis

It is fascinating to observe many websites which provide information on Asian schistosomiasis . Still there is no attention how our animal industry particularly sheep and cattle industry are suffering losses due to this  less recognized disease. An important problem, not envisaged by international community is very low egg production of Asian or Indian schistosomes hence our failure in diagnosing schistosomiasis by routine coprological methods.
